The 2nd Workshop on e-Heritage and Robotics 2026

Gabriele Gattiglia will participate in the 2nd Workshop on e-Heritage and Robotics 2026, organized within the framework of IEEE ICRA 2026 in Vienna (May 31 – June 5), one of the leading international events in the field of robotics.
The contribution, entitled “Ἐγώ, αὐτόματη (I, AUTOMATA). What if archaeology met robotics?”, presents the AUTOMATA project and proposes a reflection on the integration of robotic tools in archaeological research. In particular, the use of robotics for the advanced digitization of pottery and prehistoric lithic artefacts will be discussed, placing these experiments within a broader perspective on the role of digital technologies in archaeological practice.
