AMARCH 2026 Summer School: Lecture by Gabriele Gattiglia and Open Registration

AMARCH 2026, the Summer School on Materials Analysis for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage organized by the University of Trento, will take place on June 3-4, 2026. As part of the program, Gabriele Gattiglia will deliver a lecture on June 3 titled “What if Catullus was an archaeologist? Come, sweetheart: give me a thousand data, then a hundred more…”. The talk will focus on the creation, management, and open dissemination of archaeological data.

The Summer School covers key computational approaches applied to archaeology, including statistical analysis, morphometry, and network analysis. The program combines theoretical lectures with practical sessions, using case studies that span from prehistory to the Middle Ages. The initiative is aimed at students and early career researchers working in archaeology and cultural heritage. No advanced technical background is required. Participation is open both in person and remotely via Zoom. All lectures will be held in English.

The registration fee is €30. Applications are open until May 13, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
