OPUS – Open AI solutions for historical masonry annotation

On 24 February 2026, from 10:15 to 12:45, the final presentation of the OPUS project (Open AI Solutions for Historical Masonry Annotation) will take place at the Gipsoteca di Arte Antica of the University of Pisa.
Throughout the morning, archaeologists, engineers and computer scientists will alternate in presenting the open-source software TagLab, as implemented for the automatic and semi-automatic (AI-assisted and image-based) segmentation of historic masonry and their annotation.
